Hell's Half Acre Marathon

I decided to run the Hell's Half Acre Marathon outside of Fort Worth.  Temps in the state had been very hot so I was a bit worried....possibly triple digits.   I believe race day did get into the 90's but not, as the name implied, hell.

The route was along a river/water way.  It consisted of loops back and forth.   I wasn't sure what to expect, but ended up finishing with a 5:41:46.  Believe it or not, that got me an age group place (thankfully most old folks are wiser than me .... so they didn't run).

The race shirt was a tank top.  I liked it and offered to buy a second one, but the RD just gave it to me.  I wore it in a couple future races (such as Alamo Marathon under my full jeans/hat/denim shirt/belt outfit).
